Cross-Divisional, Non-Conference Games
This makes no sense to me. If you're going to play games against a team in your conference, i.e. BGSU vs. WMU, why wouldn't you just count the games in the conference standings? If you're not going to count them in the conference standings, why play the games at all? Would these games count if something like a head-to-head tiebreaker came up? This just seems silly to me. Am I missing something?

Basically they play them to fill their "during the week" schedule, because it is tough to find home games, especially if you don't want us playing a bunch of Findlay's, Tiffins, Blufftons etc. All of the MAC have the same problem. They need the non conference to play some of the younger players that dobn't get much playing time on weekend series.

Why not play the Bluffton's, Tiffin's and Findlay's? Treat it the same way that the BCS schools use cupcakes in football? In no way am I saying that we would walk over any of these schools. I'm sure they have very good programs and I think it would be good to play these schools so our coaches can see what needs the most work and then work on those things.
