Miami sweeps BG, Falcons have lost 6 of last 7 in the MAC
Miami sweeps BG, Falcons have lost 6 of last 7 in the MAC
BG was swept in a MAC series for first time this season by Miami, including a pair of one-run games. That drops BG to 8-10 in the MAC with three MAC series remaining. It looks like it's going to boil down to us trying to finish in front of Ohio in the East to try and make the MAC Tournament. A very tough weekend for BG, and week for that matter, scoring only five runs combined in four games with three of the four losses by one run.
GO BG!!!

UGH...not a good weekend. Next weekend BG is at Akron and I think I can make it to 2 outta 3 games.

We're barely hanging on right now. Need to take at least 2 of 3 from Akron...

Yeah, with the way the MAC is unfolding (espcially the good records in the MAC West), our best chance at this point is looking like to try and finish in front of Ohio. And we must finish in front of OU and not tied with OU because they own the tie-breaker over us. BG has a home series against Kent State and two road series at Akron and Buffalo remaining while Ohio has two home series against Akron and Miami and a road series at Buffalo remaining. So BG has the tougher road on paper. With our Kent State series looming, we basically must beat Akron and Buffalo, period. Obviously a sweep would be huge. It would also be nice to not be seeded against Kent State in the first round if we got in as well. But that's something to think about if we were to even make the field. We really MUST win this Akron series after having dropped 6 of our last 7 in the MAC. GO BG!!!Falconfreak90 wrote:We're barely hanging on right now. Need to take at least 2 of 3 from Akron...
