BGSU's Volleyball team is picked to win the East and tied for the most votes to win the Mid American Conference
Championship
The poll was votes from the 12 MAC volleyball coaches. I don't think you can vote for your own squad
Lindsey Butterfield is one of two candidates from the MAC for the Senior CLASS award. Thirty women were
chosen. "Butter" and the Falcons will face four other candidates, the first Elizabeth Koberstein of Marquette Friday
night at the Stroh. Others are Caroline Jamoc Kansas, Lena Oliver Western Michigan and Megan Campbell
Dayton.

Re: Volleyball
BG fell to Marquette last night 3-1 in sets. The team is running a new offense with 2 setters but also played last
year's offense with 1 setter. Several freshman played pretty well and our seniors led the way. Marquette ran a
really quick offense and defended well. They have at least 2 players who can stand at the net raise their arms &
the wrists are above the tape.
After the match the team held an autograph session. Several players said they know things to fix and were going
to work on that.
They begin again looking for first match victory against Creighton who bested BYU 3-1 Long day today

Re: Volleyball
OK transfer missed you at the am match BG had a grinder match with Creighton but lost 3-l to the Jays. Now 2-0
Creighton has starred in the Hampton Inn Invitational.
Coach Tomic is using these matches to find different combinations of personnel and to see who works well
together. Being 0-2 early in the season is OK tough preseason hopefully leads to great MAC season. Time will tell.
Come check them out it's fun

Re: Volleyball
Great come from behind victory for the Falcon volleyball squad. Down 2sets to none, they sweep the final three to upset #13 BYU tonight.
It was great to watch the squad high-fiving the fans on the upper concourse as they made their way to the post match autograph session.
Paige Penrod was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Can Paige Penrod dunk a basketball? That woman has some serious hops....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
