Went to my first volleyball match last Saturday at Buffalo. I took the Princess and her friend who plays JV Volleyball. It was a tough loss, but the ladies showed a lot of determination and dignity in their play. It's always a pleasure to take my daughter to see some positive role models.
I'll have to admit that I understand nothing about the strategy or substitutions, but I found it compelling. I think it will become an annual excursion when the team comes to UB.
One thing needs explanation to me. At the start of each set, before the first serve, we would substitute a player. What's the purpose of that? Looking for help from a VB expert.

Good luck to the VB team....bring home 2nd straight MAC title!!
Like Lord Byron...I don't really "get" the nuances of the game. Based on what I have seen of the team..they're going to miss Paige Penrod next year. That woman is a hell of an athlete...she covers an incredible amount of ground and has a vertical jump that Cam Black dreams of having

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
