Soccer defeated WMU, 2-0, yesterday for their 5th win in a row and now sit atop the MAC at 6-3-2, 4-0-0 MAC. WMU drops to 9-3-0, 3-1-0 MAC. Late goals in the last 15 min of the match got the W. A trip to Mt Not So Pleasant Thursday to face the Chips and back home Sunday to start a 3 match home stand against EMU.

Another win for BG!!! Hard fought match win over a gutsy EMU team at Cochrane, 1-0. Now 8-3-2 and 6-0-0 MAC> 7 straight wins and 8 game unbeaten streak and we have a full 2 game lead at the top. Best regular season record gets to host the MAC tourney. BG back into division play with two home matches against Kent State Friday, and Ohio U Sunday.

Sure did. Beat #1 seeded Kent St to advance and lost to tsun, in OT, 2-1 in the title game. It was an effin gut punch and i recall the ut players celebrations after were, IMO, arrogant and in your face. Coach Fannon and the team just stood there and watched. Talk about a burning feeling inside. And you think football is bad? tsun has beaten us ELEVEN in a row in women's soccer. E-L-E-V-E-N. That will end this year. This team is so focused on getting the hardware and rarely concede goals. 1 in the last seven matches.

BG at Akron on Thurs 10/18 at 7, I'll be at that match. And thinking of taking a half day off on 10/25 for the match against the tsun, 3pm kick. I REALLY want to be at that match.

BG Women's soccer keeps rolling.

BG beat Kent tonight 3-1 to win its 8th straight game and go to 7-0 in MAC. Needs 3 points to clinch 1st place and have 4 games remaining.

BG has given up only 2 goals in 7 MAC games. Incredible.

It doesn't quite wrap up the conference title, but Ball State would have to go 3-0 while BG went 0-3. A tie at Akron on Thursday would clinch a share of the title even if Ball State won, and a BG win at Akron would clinch it outright.

Man it was a cold night at Cub Cadet Field. We hit the crossbar TWICE and outshot Akron 11-5. We had no business losing this match as we dominated the whole time. But credit Akron as they made the most of their one chance.

I agree gmartin...Coach Fannon kinda went off on the team after the match (rightfully so) . We made a good number of lazy passes and passes that ended up out of bounds. I don't think the team was focused on the Zips, more like clinching the title. I expect the team to come out for blood against Buffalo this weekend. Then, next week, tsun comes to town and they have owned us the last 10 years, winning ELEVEN straight. Eff that. Especially after the way we lost the MAC title match to them in OT last season.

We are still sitting in a great position at 10-4-2, 8-1-0 MAC>
