Volleyball Offseason 2023

Post by mbenecke »

It was just announced this morning that Coach Tomic has signed an extension that keeps her in BG through 2027.

This is massive news for one of BG's most consistent programs.

Great news. She's a really good ambassador for the university. Always turns out for the big games of any sport. (So does Loeffler, to his credit).

Give Derek credit, we don't know if he is a genius but he isn't dumb. Extending Tomic is probably the easiest decision he will ever make. She is a class act personally and runs the best program in the department - by a mile.
Word is the recruits coming in next year - 2 are already on campus - have as much talent as Lauren Hovey. If this is remotely true, with one last year to watch Petra, BGVB will dominate the MAC!

I imagine their foreign tour can only help with team chemistry, bonding, improvement etc. The 2023 season should be a fun one

The BGWVB Team is on day 8 of their (12 day) European tour....currently enjoying Petra’s home town in Prague.
So Petra gets to be with her family and the team gets to play against a local VB team. (Of course they Won!). Latest vid update...what a great opportunity for the Team.
