One Week til baseball!

Post by BGSUBOY »

with less than 7 days til opening day for falcon baseball, what's everybody's thoughts on the upcoming season??? The loss of Wasserman, Stewart and Brech is big but the vast amount of experience gained by all the young guys playing last season should make them ready for this year .... I am excited for sure as it might be our first male team to go above .500 in awhile haha

any thoughts?

I looks to me like we have a lot of depth this year and almost every position could end up in a dogfight. What we don't have right now are proven middle of the lineup hitters. It is time for some of the juniors and seniors that were recruited for that purpost to step up and DO IT!!
TJ is a proven starter as well as Baird, but we need someone to step in and fill the second day in the pitching rotation. I am very much looking forward to another fun year.

I thought Hoiles took another job somewhere? Maybe I'm confused. Wouldn't be the first time.

Yeah, I saw that as well. I was under the impression he was going to be the head coach for the York Revolution this year. Anyone...anyone?

So the baseball team opens the season in Murfreesboro, TN against MTSU. It just so happens that MTSU made me a job offer. Perhaps this is destiny calling and the wife and I should make a visit to MTSU this weekend to check things out again and catch a BG game or three while visiting. :)
