BG falls to Miami 12-2 and 5-3 in the first two games of a weekend series. The Falcons are now 4-13 in the MAC. Hopefully we can avoid a sweep and salvage the series with a win on Sunday.

Nicholas and I will be at this afternoon's game (Sunday). If any AZZer's are there, look for us. Nicholas will be the kid walking around with an orange cast on his left leg.

Just got back from Oxford. BG got hosed on this play in the 8th.......
"The Falcons scored what looked to be the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning, but a runner's interference call cancelled the score. With runners at the corners, Sophomore Ryan Shay hit a ground ball to the third base which was tossed to second base for the first out and then thrown wide of the first basemen for the apparent throwing error and run scored as Telmanik sprinted home from third. Before the Falcons could celebrate, a runner's interference was called on the base runner sliding into second base, nullifying the run scored forcing a double play"
Full Story
It certainly did not look like interference from our vantage point and the Redhawk fans were confused on the call also. Coach Schmitz got ejected from the game for arguing the call. He was outside the park when we were leaving, I told him they did a fine job. The Falcons got cheated. Plain and simple.

That sucks! Man, it has been a struggle in the MAC this year.
