Women's Soccer qualifies for MAC Tourney again!

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Following a perfect weekend with 1-0 wins over Ohio and Akron, the Falcons have now qualified for the MAC Tourney for the SIXTH straight year! BG is now 8-9-1, 5-5-0 MAC and will face the hated Rockettes Thursday @ UT. For BG to get the #4 seed and a first round home game, BG needs to beat UT and hope either EMU or NIU loses their games Thursday. UT's had a real nice season so far at 8-2-0 in the MAC so it will be tough...these two teams usually play 1 goal multiple OT games.

BG's had a tough road but they've fought thru some things and are now in position to do some damage in the tourney, which they usually do.

First though....BEAT TOLEDO!!!!!!!!!

The women's soccer team came from behind to beat Toledo 2-1. The Falcons scored 2 goals in the final few minutes, the winner coming with just 21 seconds left in the match. The win helped secure a home game for the opening rounds of the Mac tournament.

Congratulations!

Congratulations!
Meagan Moran scored both goals, too. She should be named Queen of BG for awhile, just for that. :-D

THAT WAS AWESOME!!!! Way to go BG! Meagan is Queen for the next 3 months! 2 goals from the same player in less than 2 minutes...unreal.

BG will host EMU in a first round match Sunday. Congrats to Coach Richards and team for a solid season with a challenging schedule.

GO FALCONS!!!!
