The BGSU Gymnastics team held a scrimmage Friday night to get ready for the upcoming season. The new team members did a great job and there's much excitment for the upcoming season.
Here's the picture of the week from the meet:
Hope they can get big crowds for the two home meets in January. It's going to be an exciting season

I too am excited for the 2008 season. Kerri and Shannon have done a fantastic job and the teams hard work will pay off. The first meet of the season will be a doosey! January12 the Tigers from the University of Missouri come to Eppler. The Tigers advanced to regionals last season and had an RQS (Regional Qualifying Score) of 195.660. Their coach is a good and prepares for a tough conference. The Big 12 had 3 teams make regionals, 2 at Nationals, and Nebraska placed 5th in the country. Their home venue, the Hearns Center, seats 13,611. Their average home attendance last season was 2089 fans per meet. The Falcons' home, Eppler Center in contrast is listed at a capacity of 300 fans. The falcons averaged 255 fans per meet last season. That is quite a difference! The team will do their part, but we as fans need to do ours as well. I know of nationally ranked teams who will no longer come to a meet at BGSU unless it is held in Anderson Arena. Just like "The House that Roars", Eppler gets very loud and that can be unnerving for our opponents. 300+ members of the Falcon Nation in Eppler would really give us a home advantage the Tigers have rarely seen. I can't wait for the season to begin. GO FALCONS!!!!!

Packing Eppler for the meet with Missouri on Jan 12th would be a great belated Christmas/Holiday present for the Gymnastics Team. What a huge boost for the incoming freshman (8 of them) to get at their first BGSU event. Let's not let these hard working athletes down.
Put it on your calendar .... your going to support the basketball team at 2pm in Anderson (against Ohio) and then bring that energy over to Eppler at 7pm to start the gymnastics season off right.
And by the way .... Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays to everyone on this board!!!!!

What a fun picture, but where is Kerrie and Shannon? You can't let those two hide on you. I am not sure if I will make it to the Mizzou meet or the EMU meet the weekend after. But it will be one of the 2. I have to see when Rebecca is on duty. The first picture you posted, is that Jo? It looks like how she puts up her hair but I am not positive.

Not trying to be a perv in anyway, but seriously, they could do some great fund-raising with the gymnastics calendar. That shot would be great for December.

Yep! That's Jho!
The other picture was a surprise to Kerrie and Shannon. I think the girls put it on cards and gave it to the two of them, but I'm not sure

I figured it was safe at this point to put it online because they are all getting ready to leave for the break.
We'll see you at one of the two meets. Both should be a blast. Hopefully they can stay healthy so that we can see the full impact of additions and changes. We already have one of the freshman down (recent surgery) and Jax "tweaked" her knee Friday night. Hopefully the break will give them some time to heal up and be ready to go when they return in late December.
Look me up when you come to the meet. The guy with the camera running all over the place taking pictures
