CMU was picked as the preseason MAC West favorite. The Chips haven't gotten off to the start many thought they would in the MAC just yet (let's hope that continues), but they did win both of their mid-week games this week including a big 7-3 upset of #22 Michigan in their last outing that sets them up for the BG series. After BG's two non-conference losses to YSU & WSU, I hope the Falcons can get back to their winning ways in the MAC this weekend. Obviously, you want to win any MAC series and this one is no different. Let's hope we start the series off with a win in game one. GO BG!!!

CMU lost 2 great pitchers, so maybe that is hurting them early this season. Either way, go BG

After Friday's game was moved to a Saturday doubleheader, BG split with CMU, winning the first game 10-3, then losing the second game 6-2. The rubber match is at 1 PM on Sunday afternoon.

Let's win on Sunday and claim the series! Sunday will be a big game for with the winning taking the series. It's also important considering we have big a three-game MAC series on the road at currently undefeated (in the MAC) Ball State next weekend. GO BG!!!

Well, we went to the game today and we certainly didn't make things easy on ourselves with some costly errors. The dropped fly ball when CMU had the bases loaded with two outs just killed us. It allowed a 3-0 lead turn into a 6-0 cushion and it really set us back for the game. The loss puts us at 4-2 in the MAC with a series at 6-0 Ball State next weekend.

Sitting here in Fort Wayne, I'm thinking "road trip"? Maybe go to the early service on Sunday then head down for the series finale. Anybody else planning on being there?
