Softball comes from behind to beat Central 7-6 in 8 innings. BG was up 4-0 going into the top of the 7th, but Central scores 6 in the inning to make it 6-4. BG gets two more in the bottom of the 7th to tie it at 6 and send it to extras, and then wins it in the 8th.

Excellent news! CMU has owned BG in softball forever...just getting a win over them is BiG.

BG is 4-18 but 4-2 MAC...which is most important.

GO BEEG!

Delong, Vallas, and Wiemer were on fire Saturday. I saw the best half inning bottom of the 8th. It was cold, soggy and windy---typical BG weather. Hats off to the team for their effort. Hopefully Mom Nature will give them some better weather to play in Wednesday and next weekend---what a short home stand.
Also they want to hear the "BG" "SU" cheer for softball---so I need some help----Wed 4/16 4pm, Friday 1pm, Saturday 3pm after Spring Football, & Sunday 1pm.

While that might be typical BG weather, Friday for the DH vs EMU it was warm and in the 70s, hell I was wearing shorts. Friday's weather to Saturday's weather, now thats typical BG weather, hell thats typical Ohio weather. From what I have seen things are looking good for Wednesday, sunny and in the mid 60s :D

Saturday's game was crazy, after the first 5 1/2 innings I thought the game might only take an hour, then the craziness started, I don't think I have ever seen anything like that when watching baseball or softball. I also must say Vallas' HR in the bottom of the 6th, WOW a thing of beauty, she ripped that thing.

I had some commitments this weekend but you'll see me at many of the games. An ex-football player/huge supporter of the softball team I hope to see, too. We've done most of the cheering the last few years!
