BG defeated MSU today

@ Old College Field in E. Lansing. Melissa Bott pinch hit, drew a base on balls, then Dawnjene DeLong stroked a double to right sending Bott home and taking third herself on the throw to the plate. Susan Sontag singled to center sending DeLong across the plate for BG's second run all in the top of the seventh. In The bottom of the sixth MSU thought they had the lead. A long foul ball was hit, ball caught and thrown in. The bases were loaded, MSU runner on third tried to tag up but left early. BG defense appealed the play & the runner was called out --which made three--no run, setting up the Falcon finish.

It's always fun to beat Sparty!!!

except I found a parking ticket on my vehicle only car, truck or van from BG to get special treatment.

The phone will be ringing in E. Lansing tomorrow.
Way to go BG Softball

Keep it up

on to scudsville for 2 wins this weekend Saturday & Sunday.

We went up to E.L. last year for a game...why can't they play us down here?

WHOO HOO! Great to hear! BG LEADS Sparty all time, 12-7. Love to hear my girl from Dover, Melissa Bott, doing well!
Great job BEEG! After an 0-16 start, BG has gone 13-4 in the last 17 games. Coach Salsburg said this team would come together and that is happening! BG now 13-20 overall with the hated Scuds up next.
BEAT TOLEDO!!!

Nice Job! A win over any team from the B10 is awesome. From the Big Ten website it appears that MSU is right about the middle of the pack as far as their standings go at 7-7 and just over .500 overall.
