Like just about every other sport this year, BG knocks off UT, 4-3. BG led 4-0 going into the bottom of the 7th. The Falcons got the first two outs but then UT rattled off 5 singles in a row to close to 4-3. Hayley Wiemer struck out her 8th batter of the day to end the game. Wiemer pitcher her ninth complete game of the season and sixth in MAC play, tying her season high eight strike outs and walking only one batter.

BG is now 14-20, 11-3 MAC and have won 6 straight over the hated Scuds. However, Kent State shut out Buffalo to move to 15-2 in MAC play.

Now, get after the Scuds again and sweep em!!! BEAT TOLEDO

What a game! Thought we had it wrapped up for sure until the 7th, then it looked like the wheels were going to come off. Heck of a gutsy performance by Weimer though. Battled through the rough stretch and even took a hit off the knee before making that last strikeout.
About to head out now for the second game!
GO BG!

Yeah, tough year for the Rockets- outside of X-country, swimming, basketball when it counted, soccer when it counted, tennis, track and field in both indoor and outdoor seasons and golf we've really struggled with BG this year.

Falcons made a valiant effort to beat UT at the MAC Tournament in golf but fell short. They did leap from ninth to eighth, passing NIU on their way to next to last. UT's All-MAC first teamer (Ciaran MacAleavey) was the medalist which no doubt helped the Rockets.

If they had been, well, several strokes better it would have been one more feather in the BG, Freak, but alas, it was not to be.
