BG beats Ohio, 3-1....

I was able to get down to Firestone Stadium in Akron last night. The game was supposed to start at 7:30 but weather and two extra inning games earlier in the day prevented that. The game started about 8:15 and ended at 10. LOL. Hayley Wiemer pitched another fine game...won her 12th straight game striking out 4 and walking only 1.

Allison Vallas blasted a 2 run HR in the bottom of the 5th to cap a 3 run inning.

Matt Leininger, former BG fooball DL, was there and it was very cool to see him...he's back in Ohio. BG will play Ball State today at 5. BSU is the #7 seed. BG has won 19 of the last 22 meetings and 15 in a row over the Cardinals. I have the day off tomorrow so I will be going down to the stadium again...today I can't go since Mrs. Freak is out of town on business and I don't leave work until 5:30 anyway. If BG makes the title game Saturday, I won't be able to go since we have some friends coming over for a cookout.
