Sweet!!! Way to go, Burke! He struck out 7 batters in 5 2/3 innings...nice!

A couple weeks ago he was scheduled to start Sunday against the Nats in Washington and I have tickets, but now he's been bumped down a day and will go again Monday at Cincinnati. Oh well. Hopefully some BGers in Cincy will gang up there to support him.

I was just going down to see the Reds Monday night, and what do you know, a BG-fest breaks out. I'll be there to see BB. It's too hard to finesse the I-hope-the-BG-guy-does-well-but-his-team-loses style rooting.

So I'll just be rooting for him to do well and what happens happens. Besides, the Reds stink and they never score any runs for Harang.

Go BG!

yeah thats what I fear, maybe each will throw shutout ball and the only runs scored will come against the bullpens :-D

Didn't someone say many years ago that when a BG baseball player made it to the bigs, we'd get our own Forum??? I think we all thought it would be Nolan Reimold, but how about Burke!!! What an impressive climb for a well deserving young man. Go BG!

Got his 2nd W against the Reds tonight in relief....Kinda unfortunate that the guy has to play my favorite team, but it's good to see this man representing both my university AND high school so well. Go Burke!
Finally a senior!

burke was very pompus in his time at bg. but the kid had skills. as good as nolan is, its easy to forget that its 10x easier to get to the bigs as a pitcher than any other position so when ya think about it, its not THAT big of a deal that he got there before nolan.

Also Nolan had some injuries. He only played 59 games last year. He should be getting a call up to AAA Soon. He has cut down on his strikeouts this year in AA.
