Great news! BUT......we have to win tomorrow to have a shot at the title. And more importantly, Ohio must lose tomorrow night (which is not impossible) against Central.

Well, BG did their part beating Akron, 3-1 (25-15, 27-25, 22-25, 31-29). BG finishes the regular season at 23-8, 12-4 MAC....3rd straight 20+ win season for BG.

BG will now prepare for the MAC Tourney.

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!

OU knocks off CMU in 5, knocking us into a three way tie with Miami and CMU. Miami gets the 3 seed, CMU gets the 4, and we are stuck with the 5 and a 1st round game with Buffalo Tuesday night at AA, winners play CMU Friday morning 11am at SeaGate.

Now even though we now have one more home match in the MAC Tourney it was Senior Day vs Akron and I just wanna say something about the senior class of Meghan Mohr, Kendra Halm, and Chelsey Meek. For me its been a pleasure and honor to watch these girls play vball in my four years at BG. They may not have the recognition of the women's bball senior class of two season agos, but the stats these girls have put up are amazing, all three will be missed dearly, but hopefully they can finish off their careers bringing a MAC Tournament Championship home to BG.

Damn. A #5 seed? That sucks after all we've done this year and who we've beaten in the Mac this year. Last year we didn't even beat OU and didn't we get a better seed than #5?

Yes, but our RPI was lower and Jay Bilas doesn't like the upside of our skillset.

Dude, it's the MAC tournament. Seeds are all based on record in MAC games. Obviously, that shook out to fifth. On the plus side, if we were seeded any higher, they wouldn't get to play one more game at AA.

Last year we finished 4th overall in the conference and got the four seed. We did actually finish better this year, tied for 3rd overall in the conference, but the tiebreaker didn't go our way so we get the #5 seed.

I was upset about this at first (I thought we had a bye locked up), but then I thought about it and now I'm not. We get one more home game at Anderson, Chelsey gets an extra match to get closer to the MAC career digs record, we are still in the spot I wanted us to be in (I wanted us as the 4 seed, on WMU's side of the bracket, playing the early morning game Friday, all of which still happens if we beat Buffalo Thursday, we are just the 5 seed playing CMU not the 4 playing Miami), and we won't have to beat both Miami and OU to win the tournament. I'm fine with where we are at in the bracket

And the only way to get the one and only ticket to the NCAA tournament is to win the MAC tournament, right?

So, just win baby!
