Very cool. I had heard bits and pieces about this, but never much detail.

Major props to Coach Winger for dreaming about this and then making it happen!

So is this on the ground level of the West side? Did it completely replace the weight room area down there? Have all those machines/weights been moved in to or replaced by the Sebo weight areas?

It is definitely in the old weight room. I noticed that during the Buffalo game. I have no idea where the equipment went, but everything in the SEBO I am pretty sure was brand new. If it wasn't, it sure looked new when it was opened! :D

Here is a know your facilities trivia question. Do you know where the original weight room area at the B.G.S.U. football stadium was?

<<<<<<SCROLL DOWN FOR ANSWER....>>>>>>>

Across the hallway from the current Falcon Club offices. The area, which is about the size of half of BGHS current weight room, is currently being used as a storage area. The underside of the West stands makes the sloped "ceiling" of the room and there are remnants of weight markings on the walls/floor. I never saw the area as a weight facility so I don't know when it was used and ceased being a weight training area.

Kent State's facilities are still far superior than what BG has to offer. That helps explain why Kent has consistently produced the best program in the M-A Conference, and have as an alumni Ben Curtis who won the 2003 British Open.

Golf season is only a couple months away. I can't wait to swing my new Callaway FT-5 (9.5) driver. It was a Xmas gift from my son-in-law who is a Class A PGA Professional. Class A is the highest level.

All things considered BG probably went about their indoor facility better than Kent State did. All the money that went toward BG's facility was raised through fundraising from golf alumni, Kent State spent nearly 10 times the amount BG did on theirs. And honestly the only things that could improve about BG's is the lack of heating, more space to practice chipping, and a bigger lounge TV :)
