BG was picked 2nd in the East behind Kent State and will open the season Friday in Orlando at the UCF-Early Bird Tourney...playing games against North Florida, Bradley, South Carolina, U of Texas-Arlington and Kansas. How can they not win the "Early Bird" tourney??

BG will play in tournaments in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and California before hosting Purdue in a DH March 26.

Best of luck to Coach Salsburg and the Falcons for BiG year!

BTW, Hayley Wiemer is the lone SR on the team this year. It is a YOUNG team, with 3 JRs, 8 SOs and 2 FR.

My fiancee goes to the University of Tennessee... February 27th just became a HUGE day for us. Especially considering just how rare it is that BG and that UT would play each other in any sport at all.[/b]

Kansas will be a tough competitor. They are ranked 25th in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll this week after defeating #7 Arizona and #11 Northwestern last weekend.
