BG baseball started their defense of the MAC baseball title with a win over the favorites to win the West division, Western Michigan.
BG got a GREAT pitching performance from Brennan Smith (7 innings) and Dusty Hawk, for a 5-2 win.

Yeah, they've had some nice pitching recently, with the 2 one-hitters on the spring trip and the win yesterday. With the way the wind blows at Steller and with Johnny Allstaff usually pitching during middle-of-the-week, I always expect those midweek games to be 16-13 or something similar Keep it up, boys!
