This is great! Just another reason to root for the Orioles...my new "Other favorite" team in the American League for the 2009 season!

Awesome. I got the baseball package this year on Directv, so I can watch the Pirates and my wife the Cardinals. I definitely will be following Nolan.

FYI for any other Baltimore/DC area alums out there: I recieved the below e-mail today. You can get FREE tickets to the O's-Blue Jays game in Baltimore on Memorial Day if you are a BGSU grad! Luckily the minor league team I work for is off that day, so I will be there. If anyone else reading knows they are going, go ahead and PM me. Hopefully Nolan is not only still in the big leagues in ten days, but also in the lineup on the 25th. He better be, if a lot of BG alums are in attendance!

BGSU Washington DC Alumni Special Event
Dear Falcon friends -
Former BGSU athlete Nolan Reimold will be called up to play for the Baltimore Orioles...another great exampe of BGSU athletes doing great things in professional sports! Reimold, who was batting .394 with nine home runs for Norfolk, will likely log a lot of playing time while with Baltimore. While many of us have been to see Nolan play in the Triple- A divisions, we are excited to now have the opportunity to watch him play professionally.
On May 25, 2009 at 1:35 p.m. we are putting together an impromtu event for all BGSU Alums to come out and cheer on Nolan as he begins this exciting time. BGSU Alum and great friend Brock and Lisa Bierman '86 have agreed to cover the cost of tickets for any BGSU alums who want to come out for the game on May 25; additional game tickets can be purchased for $13 each. While we know this is short notice, we do hope to get many folks out to the game.
For tickets, please contact Brock directly at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or Brock.

2-4 with a double and his first RBI today, after I think an 0-fer yesterday.

My wife and I leave for a cruise from Baltimore toward the end of June...I know the O's are playing Washington the nite we get into town to stay with my brother, a JC baseball coach... I may just ask him to pick up some tix for us for that nite game if Reimold is still with the team.

To hit your first major league HR off Mo Rivera? That's pretty cool. Hit it off a Hall of fame pitcher.
