Andy Tracy was called up to the Phillies today and will join the club tomorrow. That gives BG and Coach Schmitz three active MAJOR LEAGUERS at one time. I would think that has to be a first for BGSU.

Awesome! I was hoping for that news. Some of what I had read in the past few days made it sound like Philly wasn't going to bring him up. He's one HR behind Reimold for most career homers in the majors by a BG grad.

And Arndt, Bair, Hershiser and McDowell were all in the bigs at some point during the 1989 season, I'm guessing probably at the same time. (Though Larry Arndt only played 2 games.)

Still pretty cool to have 3 up in the bigs!

Andy had a PH RBI today in Game 1 vs. the Mets. His first hit of the year.

BTW, the buzz on Tracy here has been generally pretty positive.
