With BG's five set win over Toledo tonight in the MAC tournanment volleyball Head Coach Denise Van De Walle won her 500th career match. Also senior Corey Domek began the first Falcon vballer ever to have four seasons of 300 kills or more.

Domke basically put the match away in the fifth set, getting two of the last three kills to give the Falcons their first Fall sports winover the Rockets in 13 tries. I'd have been very happy if she drilled it into the net three times in a row, but she didn't- Congrats to her.

I saw most of the wins during her first season ... seems like yesterday.

Coach V is a treasure for the university.

Sadly the season ended today at the hands of Miami in the MAC quarterfinals. While it wasn't the season that was expected, it was still a fun one, and coach was able to get win #500 during it. Kinda funny for me, the first BG vball win I saw as a student was her 400th win back in 05 and the last BG vball win I'll see as a student was her 500th win on Tuesday.

Here is to vball returning to the top of the MAC in 2010

Who's living in the past? This is all the present, babe. I know it sucks for you but hey, you do have men's hoops....although that is pretty close. What is it? 84-77 UT? It's only a matter of time before Coach Orr and the gang take care of that as well.
