BG, Kent State & Ball State received votes from the MAC. Some of our opponents in the poll were Louisville (#19) and Notre Dame (#39) while Kentucky, Michigan and Dayton also received votes.

Nice to see some national recognition early this year.
The conference should be tough again, Ball State may have the best individual player returning- Vitek 3rd baseman has a really good bat. Kent State lost a lot of guys, but they should still be alright because they have talent, they are just young. Ohio lost the player of the year last year, but they are dangerous too with most of their pitching back. That being said, BG should be picked to win the conference in most publications. The early schedule is tough, but if BG can win some of those games early, it may keep them in the mix for some top 25 discussions.
