Ball State takes the first game 25-21

Some student holding a sign with a phonde number trying to get some ladies to call him. I'll post the number if he flashes the sign again and you can harass him.

Ball State takes the second game 25-19.

Not quite sure what happened. We were up by two and the next thing I knew, Ball State was at 23.

Ball State claims the match 3-0 winning the third game 25-12.

We were never in the final game.

Transfer: Seems like the Falcons are struggling. After an up-and-down 2009, I was expecting this to be a bounce-back year. What's going on?

This team is just like the football team - super young and talented, but inexperienced and inconsistant. Only five juniors and seniors on a 16 team roster. The youth has showned flashes of brillance, but just needs more matches under their belts, quick turnarounds can happen in this sport once the majority of your players have more experience, I remember a couple years ago Akron was one of the doormats of the league, now they are leading the east division. If we keepy having seasons like this in the next three seasons, then I will be really worried

BGFalconfromCincy is correct - we are young.

But if you want to look at something positive - while we are young, this team is staying in the matches instead of folding. Look at the matches we have lost and look at how many we were scoring in the 20's. Yes, they are losses, but last year I think we folded when we got behind early. Doesn't appear so this year.

Also, I'm impressed with Ashley Dunn (libero) and Paige Penrod - two real freshmen and Ashley Herzberg (sophomore). This squad has some great potential.

Toledo just shut out BSU in the tournament. Only BSU's third loss- while I'm thrilled BSU probably has no shot at an NCAA bid now.

I got a feeling Ohio is going to win the tournament now, they always seem to get a lucky break on their side of the bracket along with the other side of the bracket thats leads them to another NCAA appearance
