She will be greatly missed!!! Congrats on an amazing career!!! :supz:
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Every interaction I had with Coach VanDeWalle was amazing. She was so nice to me when I first started with BG24. She gave me awesome interviews, took the time to learn my name as well as many of the sports staff and even gave me an interview after a very tough loss to Toledo one year. She even gave me a couple of helpful "tips" in my time as Sports Director of BG24. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING COACH!!!!!

One of the classiest coaches you will ever meet in any sport. Coach was kind enough to drop notes in the mail thanking me for Falcon Club donations and always answered emails about the team. Almost 30 years at the same school...virutally unheard of. It would be great to be at her last match this upcoming season and I will definitely mark the calendar for the road matches at Kent State and Akron.

Thank you Coach for everything you've done for BGSU...a true Falcon thru and thru. What a heck of a career!

Coach & I started at the same time, really.

Volleyball was my first "real" beat for The BG News and my first season was her first season. I'm totally floored by this news and don't know how to react.

I hope the University gives her the outstanding exit she deserves.

She will be missed, on many levels.

I also got a note from her for my falcon club donation late last year, very nice thing of her to do, one of the many reasons while myself, along with all of us, will miss her.

You can also mark your calender now freak as the schedule was released today.

Saturday 9/24 at Kent

Saturday 11/5 at Akron

Saturday 11/12 vs Northern Illinois - final home match for coach
