BG was shut out Friday, 3-0, by the Zips. Today, the Freaklings and I went down to Canal Park and watched as BG led 3-1 into the bottom of the 9th...only to see Akron score 3 to win 4-3. GRRR!!! Tough way to lose on a walk off double down the left field line. BG is now 11-19, 2-6 MAC. Ethan McKenney pitched a great game giving up 1 run and 7 hits. He had to leave after 8 2/3 innings due to an injury. Game 3 tomorrow at 1.
GO BG!!!

BG is off to a terrible start in MAC play and today didn't help one bit. Akron has locked up the series and will be going for the sweep. The Falcons have a lot of work to do if they even hope to qualify for the MAC Tournament at this rate.

And BG gets swept by Akron, losing yet again in the bottom of the ninth in back-to-back games...

Over half of our MAC losses (4-of-7) have been by one run....where have we heard about close losses before like that at BG? If we had a horseshoe throwing team at BG we'd win a National Championship in it!
