Falcons win game 1, 14-6, giving Coach 600 career wins...and BG takes game 2, 5-1. Falcons now on a 6 game winning streak and 8-6 MAC (13-19 overall). Get the sweep tomorrow...

Congrats to Coach Schmitz for reaching this milestone. Hopefully the baseball program will get more funding under a new AD cuz Coach has good success the majority of the time.

Didn't get the sweep as the Zips beat BG, 7-3 yesterday. The Falcons have non conf games against Xavier and Wright State this week before heading to Kent for a crucial 3 game set. Here are the East standings with 4 weeks to go:

Buffalo - 11-4, 21-16
Kent State - 9-6, 19-19
Miami - 9-6, 18-19
Bowling Green - 8-7, 13-20
Akron - 6-9, 9-28
Ohio- 5-10, 9-28

We are 3 games back of 1st place Buffalo in the loss column...and one game back of Kent St and Miami. We really need to take 2 of 3 from the Flashes...much easier said than done. After Kent we play Miami, Ohio and Buffalo to close out the MAC season. Top 8 teams qualify for the tourney in Avon. I'm hoping to get to at least one game at Kent...possibly 2. Jake has lacrosse games on Saturday and 4 yards of mulch won't spread itself Sunday. LOL. Friday looks good at 6pm.

Beat GC's new school 9 - 0 with big series against Kent. The team picked a good time to get hot. They've been pretty good recently.
