They sure started out hot. Too bad it didn't last. Errors did them in.

Oklahoma State has been to the NCAAS's 39 times and 19 CWS appearances. BG got stuck in a very difficult regional. U of Miami hasn't missed the NCAA's since 1972...the last time BG won a NCAA game.

BG trails 4-1 after 4 innings. GO FALCONS!!!

Announcers are complimentary again to BG...nice.

Down 7-3 after 8...BG had bases loaded with two down and couldn't get any more runs. ESPN U showed the half inning. We had our chance....

Game over...7-3. BG finishes 24-31 on the year. Still, MAC Tourney Champs!!! Looking forward to seeing Lville and the U of Miami....

Congrats to the team on a great season, regardless of how it finished. They accomplished quite a bit considering they lose only 4 seniors and are among the teams with the fewest scholarships on the league.

It says a lot about the coach and the team in how they finished out the league season and won the tourney against all odds.

Great to see the Falcons in postseason play. Hopefully this can become a trend.

Hopefully the new AD realizes what a consistently solid job Coach Schmitz does and steers more resources to the baseball program. It has earned it.

Totally agree. Whoever the new AD is, the goal should be winning MAC titles in all sports, and putting whatever resources are available in play to accomplish that. Seems like that goal got lost for a number of years as the athletic department focused on facilities.

Actually, Coach Schmitz has proven that he can do fine with exactly the same amount of resources he has been getting the last few years.
