Softball's Paris Imholz

Post by fredthefalcon »

Anyone know the story behind Paris Imholz leaving the program. 16-8 and 2nd team ALL MAC in 2013? From her Twitter it looks like she transferred to Iowa State. She's a native of California so it's still a long way from home. Tough to lose one of your 1-2 punch pitchers.

that's too bad, we had a pretty good 1-2 punch. I guess in softball, a good pitcher can pitch nearly every game so maybe she didn't like sharing so much time.

Paris Imholz
2012 17-9 1.81 era
2013 16-8 1.91 era

Still have Jamie Kertes

2013 11-14 2.19 era

A little more research in recent Softball news at both Iowa State and BG indicated that we signed a transfer P from E. Tennessee who also happened to shut out the Lady Falcons last spring. The signing was announced approximately two weeks before Iowa State announced the Imholz transfer. Likely both signings were related. I guess both ladies are immediately eligible from the announcements. This is something I was not aware of until I found that the one year sit out rule only applies to FB, WBB, MBB and Hockey. This transfer is used one time only though.
