Just hasn't been the same since Mr. Christopher fired Andy Richards. This program has really fallen on hard times. 0-4 on the season so far... :(

At Chicago State Sunday....get that first win.

As a soccer fan, and a fan of all things BGSU, I will never understand why they got rid of Coach Richards. But, this year's team is much, much better than last year's, and most of the key players are freshmen and sophomores. I've been to all of the home games so far, and they are much improved. I imagine Chicago State (a first-year program) is a dreadful team at this point, but I couldn't be happier for the Falcons to get a win. They've been working hard & it's nice to see them get a result.

The decision Christopher and Irvine made was a ridiculous one. Lack of insight, personal reasons and total incompetence were the reasons. And then Christopher left for XU with a trail of head coaching carnage. How many games have been won in the last three seasons?

Just be glad that GC is GONE! Still have a few of his "followers" to eradicate, but most are going peacefully, and some haven't yet read the writing on the wall, even tho they are locked in a closet.

Coach Basalyga and staff are working nonstop to turn this around. The women are working hard. And when we backslide coach lets them know. I would say that an action by senior staff taken many years ago can literally now be dropped and support thrown the way of this team, players and staff. What benefit is it to discuss the past at this point? Three years ago- maybe. Today? Why? I especially commend the several seniors that stuck this out to lead the rebuilding. If you have watched matches,we are improved. There is no doubt about that.

Go Falcons!

Agree 100%. While I will never, ever understand why Irvine & Christopher got rid of Richards (especially in late February, right after Richards had announced his signees), I can't say enough about the juniors and seniors who have stuck it out. It says a lot about the character of kids like Kylie Briem, Ashley Garr, Sidney Huth, Emma Norris, Haley Parkinson and Lauren Cadel that they've persevered & kept going when many others would have (and in some cases, have) given up.

It was such a dumb decision. Coach Richards, simply put, was railroaded. I am so glad GC went to Xavier. Good riddance.

I do like the way Coach Basalyga talks about the culture in the clip. She is brutally honest and I love that in a coach. But, we lost at Ball State today, FIVE-nil. Ouch. Gave up 3 goals in 7 minutes midway through the 2nd half.

At Miami Sunday...GO BG!

I am not a big follower of women's athletics, but come on. At some point some games have to be won. Coach Richards last few years weren't good, but Irvine and Christoher jumped the gun and made a change. It cannot be said enough...Greg Christopher leaving/being to to leave was a great thing for BGSU. Unfortunately it just wasn't soon enough. Too many programs were damaged by he and his staffs moronic decisions. The sooner his leftover staff leaves, the better BGSU will be too.

Another loss this afternoon, this time in Oxford against Miami. The score was 2-0 but the 25-2 shot count tells the story. Overall record is 1-8, 0-2 in the MAC.

BG women's soccer beats Ohio 2-1. Goals by freshmen Schupbach and Runkle. This team is playing much better. Plenty ways to go but they are grinders. A lot of young scorers and a lot of hard working upperclassmen.

Great coaching job by this staff. And recruiting job.

Congrats Coach Basalyga and team.

Go Falcons!
