It's 2-2 and about to go to sudden death overtime. The Falcons are playing hard. West Virginia is good; a possible at-large NCAA tournament team.

And... the Falcons win in OT. That's quite an achievement.

What a match!! It was cold and demanding and the Falcons fell behind 2-1. Fought back to tie and won it a min into OT. Great match and so cool to see BG avenge that regular season loss to WVU. Last I heard Akron was up on WMU. Win the MAC TOURNEY TITLE. I'll be making the 10 min drive back to the UA campus Sunday.

1st time in 11 years BG has made it to the Championship game.

I think Akron has beaten BG something like 16 consecutive times in soccer.....UGH!!! No better time than now to end that streak!

The MAC needs six schools to maintain an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament and the Big 12 does not offer men's soccer, so here we are.

Did WV wear shoes for this match or did they stick to their Mountaineer roots and play barefoot?

BG scored on a free kick to go up 1-0 then only :28 later the Zips were awarded a penalty kick and tied it 1-1. All three of Akron's goal thus far in the MAC Tournament have been PK's. What crap. Both times after they fell behind 1-0 to WMU and BG too.
