BG last team in tourney with one series to go

Here's the MAC standings heading into the last weekend series. The top 8 teams get in. BG is clinging to the last spot and this weekend's series vs Buffalo is likely gonna make or break the Falcons' chances at getting in.

6. Ball State 12-12

BG beats Buffalo 3-1 on Thursday. A Miami loss this weekend and a BG split over the next two days guarantees BG into the MAC Tournament.

Yeah what a weird game. BG won 3-1 after getting just 3 hits and Buffalo committed 7 errors! Obviously a big win, but NIU also picked up a win (and the Huskies have the tie-break on us). Miami just started vs Ohio but BG very likely needs to win one of these next two to assure getting in. Sure would be nice to get that tomorrow and not feel the huge pressure on Saturday, because Game Two has been a killer all season for the Falcons (BG is 1-10 in game two of three game series this year). This very well could go down to the final game of the season again for us.

It's possible BG could get the #5 seed and lookie who is the current #4 seed.

BG jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one inning, only to see UB come back and score 5 runs in the top of the second - all with two outs on 6 consecutive hits - to take a 5-4 lead.

Lacinak already chased from the game.He started out well with a few K's but then he started getting tagged before he drilled a few batters and leaves with the bases juiced. Looks like we're gonna have our hands full again. Gotta love these Game Twos....

Buffalo has now blown this game wide open. They now lead 10-4 with 10 hits already in the top of the third. That's a 14-run swing in two innings. SMH

BG has battled back and it's all tied up at 11-11 in the 8th. Come on Falcons, close it out you secure a spot in the Tournament! We've had enough walk-off losses lately against us, how about we win one of them now....

BG wins it with a two-run, walk-off HR in the 11th! HELL YEAH! That locks up a spot in the tournament! Now let's get the sweep and improve our seeding.

BG secured a spot in the tournament but is now tied at 13-13 with Ball State, Akron and WMU with one game to go (Saturday). BG has the tie-breakers against Akron and WMU but not against Ball State. The Falcons have not swept a MAC opponent this year but can do so tomorrow. GO BG!!!

BG taking the Bulls by the horns today. Up 12-0 in the 6th inning. BG will be riding a 4 game winning streak heading into the tournament. BG will be with the 5th or 6th seed.

BG wins regular season finale 12-3. Akron and Western lost so BG will be the #6 seed. Looks like we will play Ohio in the MAC Tournament
