Does anyone perhaps have any insight into the baseball team's recent struggles? They are currently 9-17. The season started off a little shaky but I thought that they had found some sort of ground to stand. However, they lost to TSUN 4-2 today. Not sure what is going on with them.

Factman will likely know, he really seems to have a pulse on the baseball team. BG is now 0-4 in the MAC and obviously dead last in the standings. There's still a ton of baseball to be played, but it goes without saying that they have work to do if they want to make it to Avon this year.

It is really pretty easy to figure out, if you just compare how the 4-5 returning starters are hitting compared to last year. All were well over .250 last year, and all are well under .250 this year. We simply aren't hitting now, and if you can figure out why this happens, MLB has a job waiting for you. I have been very impressed with the freshmen so far and they look to have a very bright future. Of course, the two scholarships they are missing, certainly hurt our depth, and players to replace players, that aren't hitting at any certain time. Those two scholarships equate to 4-6 more scholarship players in baseball, out of a roster of 32.

Okay, thank you. I have never followed the baseball team much until this year. This sheds some light. They did a good job today.
