With our 1-0 win @ NIU along with WVU's 3-1 win @ Akron, BG is now #1 in the MAC. Road trip tomorrow at Ft Wayne and then the biggest match in recent history when the Zips come to Cochrane Saturday night. BG is now 9-4-2, 2-0-1 MAC. Akron is 7-5-2, 2-1-0 MAC.
We still have a match against Buffalo, very much alive in the MAC race at 9-3-2, 1-1-1 MAC.
GO FALCONS!!!!!!

Saw part of game between innings... Think it wound up a 2-2 tie in OT, but not sure

Indeed the game last night tied at 2. Bowling Green still in first place by 1 Point. A win over Buffalo this coming weekend BG wins the MAC and will host the conference tournament.

To win the MAC regular season and knock off Akron would really be something. Heck of an effort this season!

2-2 draw with the Zips was enough to keep first place. Need a BiG effort against UB, who is a very good team as well. Coach Nichols is building BG back into a powerhouse.

Looks like we finished in 2nd.
Other than baseball, when is the last time a non revenue sport at BG won any piece of a MAC Championship?
Women's soccer in the mid 2000s under Andy Richards?
Volleyball won the tournament 4 years ago, but laughably they are a revenue sport.
Maybe we should rethink the way we're doing things in athletics

Do you need to post the same thing in every thread of every sport.
We get the point. We need to rethink what we're doing.

And none of us are in a position to change how the department operates. Here is a thought, let's give the new AD, on the job less than a year, some time to make changes. We didn't get into our current situation overnight and we will not get out of it overnight. He has a lot of bridges to try and rebuild after Kingston set the place on fire and pissed some important people off.
Soccer was in this right up until the last day of the season and came in second for the regular season. That's a great improvement from where they were five years ago. Now they can still win the MAC tournament title. It's not all doom and gloom around here.

Soccer was picked to finish 5th in the MAC outta 6 teams...and had a chance to win the title on the last day. I spend less time here anymore due to so much negativity outta some people.
Tough rematch with UB Friday at 4. Hoping BG wins so I can head over to Akron Sat for the title game.
GO FALCONS!!!
