According to MSU website, MSU is 5-0 not 7-0.

BG is ranked #19

Tonight's game is on BTN+

MSU has 8 shots on goal, BG none. But still deadlocked at 0-0. 2nd half just getting started...

And MSU converts a PK in the 53'rd min, we trail 1-nil.

Could not get the equalizer and MSU wins 1-nil. First goal allowed of the season. Cincy at Cochrane Field Sat night.

Sounds like a hell of a game against a top program. Exciting to see how much the team has improved.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Things on note:

BG has now lost 9 straight to Sparty, all 1-0

The goal that MSU scored on a PK doesn't count against the defense, just our goalie. So BG defense has now gone 6 games without giving up a goal.

There was a tweet after the game that I found humorous. Don't have the exact tweet but it was 'IF MLB includes ties in winning steaks then BG has a 13 game winning streak.

Overall a great game and I don't think BG will drop much from its #19 ranking.

BG hasn't beaten Sparty in a long time, for sure. But, only (*only*) the last five games have been 1-0 losses. They lost a 2-1 game in 2012 and played them to a scoreless tie in 2011.

I agree, if BG can get any kind of a result against Cincinnati, I think they will remain in the top 25. Not gonna be easy, though, as UC beat #13 Kentucky on the road earlier this week.

New this year --------- all of BGSU's men's games are streamed for free on the web. I will be watching the BG-UC game with the sound up, and will have the football game vs. NW on my TV with the sound down. Hoping for two wins, but realistically think only soccer has a puncher's chance.

And we lost at Cochrane for the first time since 2015...3-1 to Cincy. It doesn't get easier this week @ Notre Dame and OSU.
