Women's Soccer MAC Tournament

Match starts in 30 min and going to be a wet one to open up tournament play. Unfortunately with these weather conditions anything can happen.

One half away from hosting the semifinals and finals next weekend. Would be a huge event for this area, so we've gotta really stay focused and grind this one out.

Weather delay, presumably due to lightning.

Hoping it doesn't take forever, but it looks like there will be a slight break in the rain after 5pm that we could hopefully get the 2nd half completed during, though it's hopefully going to be played before that.

Western Michigan will play Ball State in one semi final next weekend. BG if they hold on will face Ohio. Ohio first trip to the semi finals since 2004.

I wonder if the soccer start time will interfere with the hockey game. Would almost need to start the game at 4 pm, with the other semifinal beginning at 1pm.

Maybe BG will also play in the first semifinal. I think that would be best, this way they can watch the second match and scout the Ball State / Western Michigan game

I also saw that potential conflict coming. I'm hoping for another decent hockey crowd, as it's a big "revenge" series against Northern Michigan, and I don't want soccer to impact that at all. I'm hoping women's soccer gets to play in the earlier semifinal game on Friday so that fans can go to both, if they choose to do so.

Each of these programs deserves our support, so I hope nobody is forced to choose between the two.

The times of the semi-finals on Friday have been determined. The first semifinal begins at 4 with the second semi-final to begin at 7. It has yet to be determined who plays in the first semifinal. Hoping it will be BG but I think the MAC determines that
