Jon Berti in the playoffs

Berti is starting at second for the Marlins in this year's playoffs. Had a nice game yesterday with a stolen base and some decent defense (aside from a throwing error). Great to see that he has finally carved out a firm spot for himself in the show.

Jon has had a GEEAT year hitting almost .260, stolen 11-12 bases ((to lead the team, I believe) and played almost every position on the field except catch, pitch and 1B, including missing a week or two with a broken hand!
Great job, Jon........keep it going!

The Marlins are a little old school in that they have 3 regulars that can really run. Berti puts a ton of pressure on defenses and he gets on base at a good clip. As previously mentioned, he is one of the most versatile defensive players in the bigs.
