After going 9-41 last year, it has to be better this season.

We will see but it is going to take one of the younger pitchers to take a big step forward along with a Frosh or two every game starters. BG lost their two best hitters from last years roster in L'Esperance and Weber. Both had a year left though it is possible L'Esperance may have had a career ending injury. (Can't find a mention of her playing elsewhere this year) Nevertheless, it will depend greatly on the newcomers-particularly pitching.

Opening day win was it for the weekend. I am feeling like my preseason analysis that the season will be a struggle is proving to be correct. Lost twice to a Valpo team that had 12 losses. The only pitcher that was competitive during these early games is the transfer from Miami. Bunches of walks, Wild Pitches, and HB. Equates to a 7.7 ERA and a 2.32 WHIP. Tough to win with those stats.

DVM released the Swimming coach nearly immediately after a last place MAC finish so I think Softball has to be on the list for an upcoming change.

And now 1-10 0n the season. Oy Vey. 13-4 loss to Illinois State today and we play Michigan next today in KY.

I know its early, but we were 9-41 last year. If they can get some wins, we need to look for a new coach.
