Bowling Green, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference today announced its East and West Division Players and Pitchers of the Week for the week ending April 3. Each week, the MAC will honor both an East and a West Division Player and Pitcher of the Week.

Senior Andy Hudak (Toledo, Ohio) was named MAC West Player of the Week as he helped lead BGSU to a 5-0 record last week. The Start High School product led the team with a .500 batting average in 18 at-bats. He drove in the game-winning runs in two of the three victories over Central Michigan. For the week, he had a team-high nine hits, three doubles, seven RBIs, .833 slugging pct., and scored six times. He drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning on April 3 vs. Central Michigan in game one of a doubleheader. He finished that game with a double, home run, and single with four RBIs. He also drove in the game's only two runs in a 2-0 victory over CMU on April 1. His two-run single supplied all the runs needed in BGSU's win.

Hudak moved into a tie for 6th place on BGSU's all-time doubles list with Mike Combs (38) and a four-way tie for 7th place on BGSU's all-time RBI list with 132.

.........and Alan Brecht SHOULD have been Pitcher of the Week with his performance against CMU (no hitter into the eighth), but a pitcher from WMU won that.
