Time to recognize and thank Coach Schmitz...

Danny Schmitz One Win Away from 400

Head Coach Danny Schmitz is one win shy of becoming the first BGSU coach in ANY SPORT to reach the 400-win plateau. Schmitz' record entering Friday's game vs. Kent State stands at 399-355-4 (.529 pct.) in 15 seasons with the Brown and Orange. He is third on the MAC active coaching list for career wins, behind Ohio's Joe Carbone (503) and EMU's Roger Coryell (475). Schmitz' 208 MAC wins are also third among active coaches.

This is something that needs recognized!! Coach Schmitz has done a tremendous job turning out a consistent winner and title contender. Baseball may not be the biggest draw, but we have a solid program that gets results. And BG isn't the greatest place for good baseball weather.

SWEEP KENT!!!!

GO BASEBALL!

All-Time vs. Kent State...

BGSU is 59-91-0 vs. Kent State, dating all the way back to their first meeting in 1936. BGSU took 2-of-3 vs. the Flashes last season in Kent and are 5-2 in the last seven meetings. This is the first regular-season visit by KSU to Steller Field since 2001.

This is the only sport I can think of that our sister school leads our beloved BGSU in the all time series.
Too bad we won't be able to close that gap in a hurry.
