Didn't they get an invite to the National Champinships or something like that a few months ago?

They attending the Championships and finished 11th out of 16 (I believe) and beat some good squads. From all the cheerleaders I've talked to, they all learned a lot and saw some new things they can incorporate into their routines in the future. For the first time ever going, I think they did really well!

Kentucky cheerleaders have won the national competition for something like 12 years now. It irks the basketball team when you remind them that their cheerleaders have grabbed more national titles than they have.

Although, shouldn't this have been posted under "other sports" rather than "woman's sports" since half of the members are male?

But then again I'm sure there are those people who think cheerleading shouldn't even be discussed under a sports title (as a former cheerleading coach, that would not be me :? )

Well if they can call the likes of Poker, racecar driving, and chess sports than there is no doubt cheerleading is one too. You have to be in good shape to play poker.
