NCAA tourney - 1st round odds

The oddsmakers think we are going to have a very competitive tourney. Only 7 of the 32 games have double-digit spreads (all of the 1-vs-16 and 2-vs-15 games, except for Tennessee/Winthrop).

Gonzaga (the #4 team in the polls) is only a 5.0-5.5 pt favorite over Xavier (a team from a non-major conference that only qualified by winning the conference tourney).
