George Mason ranked #8 in final poll

A trip to the Final Four after beating UConn, North Carolina, Michigan State and Wichita State and finally falling to National Champion Florida, and then a Top-10 final national ranking. What a helluva season for George Mason!!!

I hate to pick nits, but George Mason is in the CAA. However, there are two teams from the MVC (Wichita St and Bradley) who ended up in their top 25.

The 4 #1 seeds have never made it to the final four. So, if you trust in the seedings, the 4 best teams in the country have never all played in the final four.

If you poll 100 honest basketball people, 100 will tell you GMU was not one of the four best teams in the country this year. They got real hot at the right time, which is what makes the NCAA tourney so much better than the college football postseason.
