The buyout alone I read somewhere else before for Beilein was somewhere around $1 million.

West Virginia coach John Beilein is finally leaving Morgantown — for Michigan.
Beilein, 54, who is coming off an NIT title earlier this week, has accepted the Michigan job, according to sources close to the situation, and will be introduced at a Wednesday press conference.
Beilein is 104-60 in his five seasons in Morgantown and has made an Elite Eight and Sweet 16 appearance. He was close to taking the NC State job a year ago — if not for a hefty buyout in his contract.
Beilein replaces Tommy Amaker, who failed to take Michigan to the NCAA tournament in his tenure in Ann Arbor.
Beilein made about $750,000 per season with West Virginia and will, according to sources, make in excess of $1 million at Michigan.

So Suzy Merchant didn't get the job? I'm confused...
"I don't believe I can name a coach, anywhere, anytime, anyhow, who did it better than Doyt Perry."

Anything would be better then Amaker's zombie-like players and paint-dry offense. They've been painful to watch the last few years, and promising young talent just didn't develop at all.JimmyZ11381 wrote:As a Michigan fan...I also like this hire. I like the fact that his teams always seem to be able to knock down the three...and his 1-3-1 defense has proven to be successful. Only time will tell though, I guess.
Roll Along!
