You say that like Indiana isn't 7-5 and going to a bowl for the first time since 1993. Indiana would beat anybody in our conference. Purdue beat the snot out of mac champion Central Michigan earlier this year.

I had forgotten that the Big East didn't currently have a championship game.

I looked at that plan for a playoff again and I'm trying to figure out why CMU was the 16 seed while Troy was the 15...I know it's just semantics at this point but that is pretty much some b.s. Even in hypothetical situations the MAC gets no respect!

Probably because we don't deserve it. Our conference absolutely blows, let's be honest. Our conference champion got destroyed by a 1-AA team by 30 and also got blown out by a middle of the road Big Ten team. As for Miami, our conference runner-up, the University of Minnesota sends their sincerest thanks to you for their ONLY WIN of the season.
