The BCS Slate.

Talk about the Buckeyes the Wolverines the Hilltoppers the Ducks the Beavers the Chanticleers... or anyone else who isn't BG or an opponent in this forum.

With that said? Missouri = Boned.
I understand that, and knew that beforehand. What I'm saying is, with Oklahoma getting the automatic bid, and Missouri being #6, how is Kansas in the Orange Bowl? Obviously that rule that handed out an automatic bid for being in the top 6 no longer exists. I am just wondering why. I can never keep track of all these BCS rules.

Also, why is it just a given that the BCS Buster is automatically slotted in the game with last pick? Did Boise State's win mean nothing? Do people still think these "Mid-Majors" don't belong on the same field? Geographically, wouldn't a Georgia-WVU matchup in the Sugar and a Hawaii-Oklahoma matchup in the Fiesta make the most sense? I just can't believe that West Virginia is so much more attractive than Hawaii as a program that the Fiesta Bowl wouldn't want the Warriors. In any event, Oklahoma is probably happy they don't have to play a WAC team again.

Looks like when BG runs the table next year, we'll be heading to the Orange Bowl.

EDIT: I saw the final standings and Missouri is sixth. Whatever happened to the rule that a top 6 finish guaranteed you a berth?
The BCS busters are auto selected to the bowl with the final pick because these schools do not have the large fan following that other major schools have so they do not benefit financially. If they didnt have to take Hawaii then no BCS bowl would even look at them. They don't bring the fans or the money to the towns. No economic boom coming from Hawaii fans for any town. Hell it costs about $1000 round trip just to fly to the mainland. not may people who are from Hawaii and actually care about Hawaii football can make that trip. Most of those in Hawaii who are actually from Hawaii are pretty poor. Most of those who are rich, are rich people who have houses there and are from the mainland.

The automatic bid is only for a finish in the top 4, not 6. Here's the link for the selection criteria:

I think Mizzou not getting in could have something to do with the Orange Bowl reps watch Pretty Boy Daniels have a totally girly man meltdown on the sideline from the middle of the second quarter on, that coupled with his lackluster performance probably left a sour taste in their mouth.... But Herbstreit still wants to make man love to him, just listen to his commentary!

Just my guess!
I love my birds! Go Falcons, Go Jayhawks!!!
