Excellent call , dude! We had people over who wanted to watch the game so I saw OSU for the first time in years. I do think they can be competitive with OU and other MAC teams, although I suspect they would struggle on the road in our conference. USC looked pretty quick and OU didn't match up well speed wise. Still they are a TopTen in Ohio team, I think.moneymaker02 wrote:welp that went as expected, damn i know how to pickem. sorry tek

Oh well, that is what happens when you have a d-coordinator who refuses to man up and drop the zone/make any adjustments.moneymaker02 wrote:welp that went as expected, damn i know how to pickem. sorry tek
I was a Boeckman backer but I have no come to the other side. Pryor needs to play and play the whole game. Boeckman blows.
USC was scared of Pryor, they were not scared of Boeckman. When Boeckman was in, they blitzed everybody. When Pryor was in, they backed off.
Pryor is going to be special.
We'll just run through the Big Ten and play USC in the rose bowl for a rematch. Because we all know they will lose two games to shitty teams like Stanford and UCLA.

USC was head and shoulders above OSU in every aspect. The Ohio State defense really is just average.
The best thing that can happen to them is to win the Big11 USC go to the National Championship game and then get Oregon or Cal or some other Pac10 team.
But yikes, OSU looked flat out bad. It didn't matter who was coaching them tonight, USC had better players at almost every position.
tek, what is the deal with Boone? I thought he would be showcased tonight, he looked very average to below average.

He had different coordinators.VDub26Falcon wrote:Why does Tressell seem to get out-coached so bad in games of this magnitude? His first few years at OSU, it seemed that no one would ever be able to out-coach him...now, it seems he chokes during the big games a la Cooper.
The best thing that can happen is MArk Dantonio gets fired this year from MSU and comes back to OSU. Tressel needs to man up and fire Heacock. Heacock just isn't getting it done.
I don't know what his deal is. He certainly sucked it up with the holding calls...especially the one that negated a TD to Robo.Falcon137 wrote:USC was head and shoulders above OSU in every aspect. The Ohio State defense really is just average.

No doubt USC is good, and they are better than OSU. They are certainly better than I thought. But, OSU didn't do themselves any favors either. They had a 1st and goal at the 5 on their first scoring drive and penalized themselves out of the red zone, kicked a field goal. had a TD called back because of a holding on someone who wasn't going to even get to the QB before he released the ball. The TD comes back they miss a field goal. They come out and stop USC..3 and out..then Boeckman throws a pick 6. No penalties, they score touchdowns and then we have an interesting game going into half time instead of already being out of it.
OSU kind of quit at that point. They just quit. They quit and thats on the coaches.
USC is a great team and OSU beat themselves out of competing. When you have that combination you have disaster.
I don't care what the last three outcomes were. Boeckman is going to play himself out as a starter...When Pryor was in the game, USC was afraid to attack. They can't attack like they could when Boeckman was in. If Pryor stays in that game, OSU's offense doesn't look so bad. Pryor was the only kid who showed up to play 4 quarters. I love this kid. He is going to be special. They just got to let him throw the damn ball. He was 7-9 with 50 yards. He isn't making bad decisions. He makes decisions much quicker than happy feet taking a sack Boeckman.
Start Pryor, win football games.
