Florida number 2 in the coaches poll. Looks like OSU will get their cupcake.

Michigan-USC should be a fantastic rose bowl.

I feel like the Harris poll will put Michigan at number 2.

I think Michy might hang on there too, but it will be by less of a margin than Florida has w/ the coaches. Brad Edwards thinks the computers will give a slight slight edge to Florida. This is probably going to come down to some stupid decimal points. I hate this system more and more every year.

I don't really care if Michigan or Florida gets the nod. Both have legitimate cases. However, if people are now voting Florida ahead of Michigan just because USC lost (whereas they would have voted Michigan ahead of Florida if USC had won), then that is blatant fraud and the ultimate reason to dump this system.

But would any of the voters ever admit to this? Doubtful.

No, because they can always say that they had Michigan in front of Florida until the Gators won the SEC title, and now they are conference champions, and therefore ahead of UM.

That was the conventional wisdom for Miami, FL in '02 as well.

All I know is that if the line is less than 14 I'm laying big on OSU.

It's official now -- Florida jumped Michigan in the Harris poll too.

I got no problem with this if voters picked Florida because they think they're the better team.

I highly doubt that's why most put Florida #2, which is why this system sucks.

If you can't win your conference, why should you be in the game? Also, Michigan had its chance to beat OSU and couldn't get the job done.

Big Ten is weak comapred to the SEC, how can you blame the voters voting for a team who played a more challenging schedule, won those games, and rose to the occassion with 27 freshmen playing on their roster.
