moneymaker02 wrote:no offense but how can u say penn state looks like the best team right now? have you seen what texas has done the last 3 weeks?? oklahoma, mizzu, ok state....its amazing at how they handled all three of those games. i for one was a doubter of texas until this 3 game stretch and colt mccoy has totally matured as a qb this year. i wouldnt be suprised if its texas/usc again in the title game. i think penn state will slip up somewhere, possibly msu. bama will loose in a rematch to georgia in the sec title game and usc will roll the rest of their games.
Texas' offense is better than Penn State's by a certain margin. Penn State's defense is significantly better than Texas' defense. Because of that disparity, I put PSU as being a more complete team. That's why I put PSU at #1 and Texas at #2. Now if Texas completely shuts down Texas Tech's offense, ask me my opinion again on which team is better.

Not entirely but he is the one who fumbled when he just needed 1 yard to convert a 1st down. If they get the first down they take another 3 o4 4 minutes off the clock, punt if they don't make the next first down and PSU has to drive 80 yards to score. They would have had about 2 minutes to go 80 yards.

Instead..Pryor fumbles they get the ball with less than 30 yards to go and they score a touchdown.

The defense lost it as much as Pryor did though. The defense knew PSU wasnt going to throw the ball with a backup QB in. Couldn't stop the run when it counts.

Me, too. Where will you be? Planning to stop and pay homage to Sammy Villegas in Carolina while you're there? No, me neither.

You need more time there. We're over in MAyaguez and hang out in Rincon a lot: great surfing and whale watching. Enjoy your trip.

We spent more time there in January 2007 on our honeymoon. We spent 4 days in San Juan before our cruise. We went to the rain forest, the forts, shopping around old San Juan..There was a big festival when we were there (forget what it was called) but it was pretty crazy.

We did some horse back riding on the beach. I would like to go back for longer and do some other things as well. I want to go to the black sand beaches sometime..I hear they are nice.

What part of the island is that area located? Is that the western coastal area? I think that is where my parents are staying..and then we are meeting them on the cruise. They decided they wanted to go with us this year instead of their annual trip to Hawaii. Don't blame them, cruise is much cheaper.

Yep. Not nearly as big a tourist area as San Juan but its got great beaches nearby and we stay for free- my BIL is a prof at UPR. I'd like to spend more time in San Juan some day but we always seem to go back to the same places. Of course the PanAm games are going to be held in PR in 2010. We're going to try to make those- some venuse, including track, I think, ware in Mayaguez.

it would be ashame if Penn State (with ZERO impressive victories) would get into the championship game over a one loss UF (if Bama doesn't go undefeated). Bama and UT have been the two best thus far. Penn State has played one team in the top 25, and barely beat them. UF has been more impressive too.

I agree but the losses to Fresno, Ball State, FIU, NIU, CMU and Arizona are really gonna hurt us.

I disagree. A Penn State team who wins ALL of their games deserves to go over a Florida team who lost to Mississippi or a USC team who lost to Oregon State.

If a undefeated BCS team gets left out over a 1 loss team (of which there will be several) then you will see an protest of the BCS, it will be done away with and they will go back to the old way of determining champions...by AP and coaches polls only.

Does anyone really want to go back to those days?

... well, if Florida really wanted to get in, they shouldn't have lost to Ole Miss. :D

Honestly, though, it probably won't be an issue anyway. Penn State fans everywhere were cheering for Texas Tech, I bet. Texas Tech probably won't beat Oklahoma, and doing so will write Penn State into the national title game. If Alabama and Florida win out the regular season, they'll meet in the SEC title game, AKA the national championship semi-final. Winner plays Penn State.

The Gators look like the best team in the country at the moment...they totally destroyed Georgia yesterday. They are playing very well.

Seems like a different team every week looks like the best team though.

UF has ever since the loss to Ole Miss (Crushed LSU, then UK, then UGA yesterday). Bama has looked pretty dominant consistently this season.
